SSC CPO

SSC CPO 2019, the application date to apply is over. Now, Tier- I of the exam is scheduled to be conducted from 09th December 2019 to 13th December 2019 in various shifts. SSC CPO 2019 notification was released on 17th September 2019 with the last date to apply on 16th October 2019. 

 Every year lakhs of applications are received for SSC CPO Exam for the few thousand vacancies in Central Police Force. For the SSC CPO 2018, the total number of registered applications was around 8.20 lakh, out of which only 28.33% of applicants sat for the exam. 

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC CPO Exam for the recruitment in Central Police force for various posts as mentioned below: 

  • Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs 
  • Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police
  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF

 With the release of SSC Calendar, SSC has also declared tentative dates of SSC CPO 2020. The notification of the examination would be released on 17th April 2020, and The Tier-I of the exam is scheduled tentatively from 28th September 2020 to 01st October 2020.

SSC CPO 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility to apply for the SSC CPO is divided into 3 Categories:

  1. Nationality/ Citizenship of the Candidates
  2. Education Qualification
  3. Age Limit
  4. Other

Nationality/ Citizenship – Candidate must be a Citizen on India. 

Education Qualification:

  • Candidate must have a Graduate Degree from Recognized University or Institute on or before 01.01.2020. 
  • Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification as on 01-01-2020 will not be eligible and need not apply.

Age Limit

  • Candidate must be of Minimum 20 years and Maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2020.
  • Date of Birth of the Candidates will be noted as per Matriculation/ Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate.
  • Permissible relaxation on the upper Age Limit as per rules.

Other:

However, the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern

SSC CPO Examination is a 4 stage screening test of Paper I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All the Stages are essential and mandatory to clear to get into the final merit list. The Paper-I & Paper-II marks will be consolidated for calling the candidates in the Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

The structure of selection for screening the candidates is as:

Stage-2: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET)
